Mascot ‘OT' (Orange Teddy) invites your Teddy or Soft Toy to join him on this 'National Child Protection Awareness Day' event.

Your Teddy or Soft Toy will join other participants (to be known as 'Campers') at Speers Point Park on Sunday 1st September. From there, they will be transported to the camp by bus. Campers will be assigned bunks, they will not be sleeping in tents as some campers worry about storms, foxes, leeches and being outside when it is dark. They will be comforted if they are sad about being away from home, so please don't worry.
Your Teddy or Soft Toy will enjoy 14 days at Camp teddy. If selected and ordered, You will receive three photos showing your camper participating in the fun activities that you have chosen. Additional photos may be ordered.
(This event is for your teddy or soft toy friend only, not the child.)

Why CAMP TEDDY?
CAMP TEDDY is part of our UMBRELLA HEARTS project CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS DAY, (12th September) activities.
Family fun to promote awareness of child protection and safety within our community and to help raise funds to develop and continue our programs.
Protecting children is everyone’s responsibility.

Cost: $25 for each attending Teddy or Soft Toy. At Camp completion you will receive a Camp Teddy Memento Pack - laminated Certificate of Attendance, Individual Lanyard, Signature Camp Teddy USB containing 3 digital photos. Also, if ordered, additional photos in digital format (at $5 each).

Start: Sunday 1st September 2024, Home Grown Markets - Speers Point Park
Drop Off: 9:00am – 2:00pm. Bring your Teddy or Soft Toy with the completed Registration Form and proof of payment to the CAMP TEDDY Gazebo. You will receive a COLLECTION DOCKET as a receipt. (You will need the COLLECTION DOCKET to retrieve your happy camper on 15th September.)

Finish: Sunday 15th September 2024, Home Grown Markets - Speers Point Park
Pickup: Between 9:00am – 2:00pm. Bring your signed COLLECTION DOCKET to the CAMP TEDDY Gazebo at the Home-Grown Markets. Give it to the Camp official and your happy camper will be returned to you along with your Camp Teddy Memento Pack.

Complete the CAMP TEDDY Registration form then go to
CAMP TEDDY Registration PAYMENT and complete payment.

Complete on line or download and complete the Camp Teddy Registration Form, print and take with teddy to registration day.
Bring to Registration:
Your Teddy or Soft Toy, completed Registration Form, Proof of registration Payment to the Camp Teddy registration gazebo on Drop-off Day 1st September 2024 at 10:00am - 2:00pm, located at the Home Grown Markets Speers Point Park You can pay the registration fee via card payment at dropoff.
To sponsor a deserving child's Teddy or Soft Toy to attend Camp Teddy go directly to 'Registration PAYMENT' and complete your sponsorship. You will brighten the day of a very deserving child.
Registration & Payment Information:
Option 1. (PREFERRED) Download and complete the registration form then bring it with your Teddy or Soft Toy with proof of your online registration payment to September 1st drop-off day between 10:00am - 2:00pm.
Option 2. Bring the attending Teddy or Soft Toy to the CAMP TEDDY registration location with the completed registration form on September 1st. drop-off day between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Option 3. You may complete the registration form, drop off the attending teddy or soft toy and pay associated fees to a camp teddy team member beforehand only if pre-arranged
Tax Deductibility & Additional Donations:
Hearts and Hands Community Development is a registered Not-For-Profit charity (ABN-15598511636) and holds approved tax-deductibility status (CFN22835).
Additional donations made to assist Hearts and Hands Community Development activities are gratefully accepted (request tax receipt if required).
Camp Teddy registration fee, Camp Teddy additional photos and all merchandise are NOT regarded as tax deductable expenditure.

Federal MP and Member for the Hunter, Dan Repacholi, supports this Child Protection Awareness Project.
In 2023, he presented the motion in parliament to have an annual National Child Protection Day and it was accepted and gazetted in the Australian Parliament. MP. Dan Repacholi accepted the invitation to be the very first ambassador for Hearts and hands Community Development - Umbrella Hearts project.
