Launched in 2015 by Hearts and Hands Community Development, the Umbrella Hearts Ribbon Campaign aims to unite communities in protecting vulnerable children. Wearing the ribbon signifies a promise to speak out against abuse and advocate for every child’s safety and well-being.

The Umbrella represents care and protection, a gentle shelter for every child. Orange reflects the bright, joyful childhood every young person deserves. When you wear the ribbon, you’re showing your love, your commitment to keeping children safe, and your stand against abuse in all its forms.

Program Mission:

• Raise awareness of violence and abuse against children.

• Encourage individuals to take a stand, report abuse, and foster community responsibility.

• Promote the understanding that no child deserves to live in fear, poverty, or harm.

• Reinforce that abuse is a criminal act and never the victim's fault.​
