When contacting tour operators remember they have no knowledge of what your capabilities are so be patient and describe clearly to them your needs and capabilities. Remember tours are designed for the general ability tourist and not the less mobile of us so it is very important that you not only think about your own needs and abilities but also consider how your needs and abilities will effect other members of the tour.
With this thought the enfaces is on you to fit in, not the others to fit in with you.

but remember this may have a very different cost to mainstream organised tours.
