Principles
Our Vision
Children Deserve Protection
Our Mission
Empower at-risk Communities.
Provide skill development, education and support.
Promote child protection through community engagement.
Purpose
Protect children from abuse and domestic violence by promoting evidence-informed strategies that empower people, strengthen communities and support systems-level change.
Our Approach
Begins with listening. At Hearts and Hands, we nurture resilience by supporting individuals and communities to lead their own transformation, drawing on their strengths, stories, and dreams.
We focus on a holistic view, community-led development, strengthening existing efforts, and providing tailored support that enables individuals and communities to achieve safety, independence, and sustainable resilience.
Origin & Expansion
Founded in 2011, our organisation began with a simple yet powerful mission: to support disadvantaged children and communities in the Philippines. What started as grassroots outreach has since grown into a formal partnership with an orphanage and several community-based initiatives across the region.
Today, our work spans both Australia and the Philippines, encompassing a diverse range of programs focused on child protection, community empowerment, and emotional well-being. As our resources grow, so too does our capacity to expand support, guided always by the values of care, dignity, and collective resilience.
Assistance is offered to all people equally, regardless of gender, race, religion or political affiliation.
